HAVING THAT PEACEFUL CONNECTION
Updated: Oct 1, 2021

Having that peaceful connection with God...
Having that peaceful connection with God is always at the core of my heart. I need it every day of my life. However, sometimes it's difficult to have or even retain. With the constant distractions of social media, streaming app, and the day-to-day routine. It's become more difficult to achieve inner peace with God. Fear not, I will share with you some of the ways I seek inner peace with God:
Long walks
Whether it's on the beach, boardwalk, or in the park. I always make it a priority to connect with God. In most cases, I stay away from social media. I'll keep my phone on silent. Cutting off the distractions allows for a moment of meditation and reflection. At least 20-30 minutes.
Taking Photos of God's craftsmanship.
I always carry a camera, usually my Canon Powershot ELPH 190, if not my cell phone will do. I focus on sunset, sunrise photographs. As well as Nature particularly in the springtime. Like butterflies up close (Marco mode) and flowers blooming. However, whatever catches you, take a shot.

Meditate on God's goodness with music.
Music and helps find inner peace, but it can also be distracting. I listen to a broad range of music, both Spanish and English. All Christ-centered. So, finding the right kind of music is crucial. I can't listen to something upbeat and fast, while I'm trying to connect with God. In most cases, I listen to praise and worship music or instrumental music. Reading the Bible
I always carry my Bible with me and a journal. If not I always have the Bible app. When I'm out & about and the weather is beautiful, I find a quiet place and read my Bible or read a book, as long as it draws me closer to God. Like this morning I went for a walk, sat on the rocks along the beach, and began reading. I zoned out everyone and got lost in His word. and it was a wonderful and peaceful moment. Maybe you can join me next time!
